Killed on a night drop into Mozambique in Rhodesia's first airborne Op since 'C' Squadron SAS had operated in Malaya. Both his main and reserve parachutes failed to open. The target was the Musengezi River in Mozambique trying to track down the abducted Rhodesian Gerald Hawksworth.
